La classifica delle 100 migliori canzoni degli anni 70 secondo Paste Magazine

Paste Magazine ha dato il via a un grande progetto destinato a svilupparsi nell’arco di diversi mesi: scegliere le migliori canzoni di tutti i tempi. L’idea è procedere decennio per decennio, selezionando i singoli e brani d’album preferiti, prima di realizzare una grande classifica definitiva nel corso dell’autunno. Dopo la top 100 degli anni 60, ecco allora la classifica dei 100 migliori brani degli anni 70. “Non intendiamo sostenere che la nostra classifica sia migliore di tutte le altre, abbiamo piuttosto cercato di offrire una prospettiva interessante su quello che potrebbe essere stato il più grande decennio nella storia della musica – sottolinea il magazine – Alcune delle nostre scelte coincideranno inevitabilmente con quelle effettuate nel corso degli anni da altre pubblicazioni, perché certe canzoni sono davvero troppo belle per essere escluse. Allo stesso tempo, non volevamo limitarci ai brani contenuti negli album che si possono trovare in qualsiasi negozio di dischi. La selezione comprende quindi successi indiscutibili e scelte personali, tutti pubblicati tra il 1970 e il 1979. Abbiamo incluso una sola canzone per artista”.
